Anyway, The Calling, Cambridge.

psycleslut @ : Question for all you creative types
Is there an alternative knitting/sewing circle in Cambridge? A Stitch & Bitch session?
I know there used to be a small gathering at the Zebra but that was many moons ago - did they move elsewhere? And who, if anyone, attends?
Or failing that, does anyone fancy starting up a new one?
(and I know this is a really odd post to make but I'm clinging to the notion that being a Goth negates the 'sad old biddy' side of the question)

alixandrea @ : Sacrilege one week today!!
Yes, your regular monthly Sacrilege
dose is now just a week away! We're celebrating the summer holidays in style with the best Goth, Industrial, Post-Punk and EBM around. :-) We were so impressed with nevla
's DJ set back in June that we've asked him to come back for another go, so you really are in for a very special treat. And of course your regular DJs alixandrea
and Dvae will also be there keeping the music going right the way through!SacrilegeFriday 19th AugustQ Club
1 Station Road
Cambridge CB1 2JB9pm-2am
Entry is the usual £4/£3 concessions, but we're also running a promotion! As we now have the lovely Leroy as our security guard, we have been able to relax our door policy. However, to encourage you all to dress up, we are offering £1 Entry for the Fabulous!!
Come dressed amazingly, beautifully or just downright awesomely and you get in for JUST £1!
Though I must add that £1 entry (or indeed entry whatever you're wearing) is as always based solely on the discretion of whoever is on the door at the time. ;-)( Flyer and Facebook event link under hereCollapse )
We hope to see lots of you this month; we've missed quite a few of you recently and it'd be awesome to have you back. We have a new group on Facebook
; please feel free to join and let us know what you'd like to see more - or less - of at your club. :-)

unwholesome_fen @ : Facebook group
Facebook has unilaterally declared the old gothsoc group obsolete, and has not offered us the opportunity to upgrade, following whatever arcane algorithm it uses to decide these things. I've created a new style group from scratch:http://www.facebook.com/groups/gothsoc
Apparently the old group will remain in 'archived' form - the content will remain, but the membership list is no longer available. So if you were a member of the old group, you won't automatically be added to the new group, and will have to join again. (I added a raft of people from my friends list, but obviously that won't be everyone, and I may have overlooked some.) The new style groups tend to notify all members of everything by default, but you can configure that by going to the group and clicking on the settings button at the top.

We've got ourselves a great new security guard now, so have decided to relax the dress code. As long as you're lovely and not too drunk you can come in no matter what you're wearing. HOWEVER!! We are running a new promotion - £1 Entry for the Fabulous! Come dressed amazingly, beautifully or just downright awesomely and you get in for JUST £1!! Though I must add that £1 entry (or indeed entry whatever you're wearing) is as always based solely on the discretion of whoever is on the door at the time. ;-)( Flyer under hereCollapse )
